Meditation support projects

In addition to conducting rigorous research on meditation, Dharmakirti College Research Institute plans projects that will be directly aimed at supporting meditation practice. These projects will be applied and prepared to address problems that meditation practitioners often face.

Projects planned

Simulating Complex Visualizations

Many meditation practices, especially in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, involve creating visualizations. Practitioners frequently find these practices very interesting but extremely difficult because of their complexity. Our first project will try to help beginners in this area by developing computer-based simulations of complex visualization. These simulations are intended to support practitioners in initial steps of their visualization-based meditation. We hope that this will boost their ability to create the visualizations on their own and make faster progress in the practice.
